Why Tamil Resource Centre was founded

Tamil Resource Centre started with a simple idea: no one should have to face life's challenges alone. When you are new to a country, or when language barriers make systems hard to understand, knowing where to turn for help can feel overwhelming.

We saw that many Tamil families, refugees, and migrants in Western Sydney did not know about the services and organisations that exist to support them. Others knew help was out there, but could not access it because of language, trust, or confusion.

Tamil Resource Centre was created to close that gap. We are a bridge between people and the resources they need.

What we do

Tamil Resource Centre exists to connect people with resources that are often unknown, unused, or difficult to access.

We act as the linking path between the person who needs support and the organisation, volunteer, or service provider who can help.

We do not replace the work of service providers. We make sure people can find them, reach them, and trust them.

We are the link between the person who needs support and the people who can help.
